About ABC Family Day Care
Welcome to ABC Family Day Care.
My name is Aurora de Alencar. I immigrated from Brazil in 1985 and have been working with children ever since. I worked at Marin Day School in San Rafael from 2002-2005 with infants and toddlers, and in 2006 I decided to open my own business.
I love what I do! My focus every day is to provide the best care possible so parents can go to work knowing their child is in good hands.
ABC Family Day Care is located in Corte Madera in Marin County, near Town Park and Neil Cummins School. We are home-based, licensed with a spacious outdoor area for children to play. Our hours are from 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday .
The Program
We believe a daycare should always be safe, clean, stimulating and fun. The environment should always have a positive energy and children should feel loved as if they are among their own family.
Activities & Curriculum
Our goal is to improve social skills and encourage creative expression, while showing the children how to have fun in a safe and secure environment. We offer activities such as arts and crafts, music, singing, dancing, reading, free play and neighborhood walks.
Philosophy
Our goal is to promote independence, autonomy, self-esteem, awareness of others and the physical environment.
Meals & Snacks
ABC Family Day Care provides healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks. As a general rule, we do not serve the following foods: shrimp, eggs, peanut butter, nuts of any kind, tofu, bacon, juice or sweets.
